2009 Wedding Recap

28 Nov

As promised a while ago, here’s a recap of 2009 weddings. I always have a hard time getting a good picture of the couple since they’re so busy that day. It doesn’t help that I have still not mastered all of the functions on our new(ish) point and shoot. But I think you’ll get the idea.

August 2, 2009

Ceremony and Reception: Ritz-Carleton, Sarasota

Style: Intimate Beach Wedding (only 55 people!)

The bride was stunning and so emotional during the ceremony. It was the cutest thing ever. The groom’s mom is a florist so did all of the flowers and topiaries. They were beautiful!

August 15, 2009

Ceremony: The bride’s family church in Glassboro, NJ

Reception: Cescaphe Ballroom in Philadelphia, PA

Style: Traditional Italian Feast

The space was stunning, the flowers were stunning, and there was seriously more food than I have ever seen in one place at one time (including Philly Cheesteaks on the way out at the end of the night!).

August 29, 2009

Ceremony and Reception: Architectural Artifacts in Chicago, IL

Style: Eclectic (the space is really cool) with lots of DIY love

See here and here for how-to’s on the tea tin and coaster favors (they were alternated at each place setting). The bride also made all of the crepe paper flowers but you’d have to comment and ask her how because I was not very good at it!

September 12, 2009

Ceremony: The bride’s family church in Stone Harbor, NJ

Reception: The Women’s Civic Club

Style: Traditional/Beach/Dance Party with lots of sweet personal touches

They made all of their invitations. The guest book was of the groom’s photography. The bride wore a green sash because it’s the groom’s favorite color. Super cute, personal touches throughout. And while I have not been to that many weddings with bands, theirs was by far the best ever.

October 17, 2009

Ceremony: The bride’s family church in Chicago, IL

Reception: The Beverly Country Club

Style: Traditional Family Affair

Loved the back of the bride’s dress. Loved her shoes. Really loved her sparkly headband.
